PayDay has reached a new milestone in the Tunisian market with the official launch of its partnership with BTE – Banque de Tunisie et des Émirats. Following the successful completion of the first client operations, the collaboration has now entered an active operational phase.
As the second bank to join the PayDay platform, BTE strengthens a growing ecosystem connecting financial institutions, insurers, employers and employees through innovative digital services.
This new partnership reinforces PayDay’s position in Tunisia’s fintech market and confirms its ability to turn financial innovation into practical value for companies and their employees.
From Partnership to Successful Operations
The official Go-Live ceremony, held at BTE’s headquarters in 2026, marked an important transition from technological integration to real client operations.
The first transactions were successfully completed through the platform, demonstrating that the PayDay–BTE solution is fully operational. The presentation of the first commission generated from these transactions was a particularly meaningful moment, illustrating the partnership’s move from innovation to measurable value creation.
This achievement reflects the commitment of the PayDay and BTE teams throughout the development, integration and launch process.
A New Digital Earned Salary Access Solution
Through the new solution launched with BTE, eligible employees can digitally request access to a portion of the salary they have already earned, without having to wait for the regular payday.
This provides greater flexibility when an unexpected medical expense, family responsibility or urgent payment arises. The service is designed to complement the company’s existing payroll process, rather than replace or disrupt it.
Employees gain greater control over their earned income, while employers can introduce a meaningful financial wellbeing benefit without changing their payroll calendar or placing additional pressure on operational cash flow.
For Tunisian companies, the solution can help:
- Support employee financial wellbeing
- Strengthen employee engagement and retention
- Modernise employee benefits
- Enhance the employer brand
- Preserve existing payroll processes and company cash flow
Strengthening PayDay’s Value in Tunisia
PayDay addresses an important market need: helping employees manage short-term financial pressure while enabling companies to support their workforce responsibly.
The partnership with BTE expands the reach of this model and provides Tunisian companies with an additional banking option within the PayDay ecosystem.
More than a technology provider, PayDay serves as a bridge between banks, insurers, employers and employees. Its platform brings these stakeholders together around a shared objective: making workplace financial services more accessible, practical and relevant to real-life needs.
This successful launch also builds on the foundations established with PayDay’s historical partners, Al Baraka Assurances and Wifak International Bank, whose support has contributed to the development of the model in Tunisia.
Entering a New Stage of Growth
The partnership with BTE, the launch of the new solution and the successful completion of the first client operations represent an important step in PayDay’s development.
With a second partner bank now operational on its platform, PayDay is moving closer to its ambition of building Tunisia’s first multi-bank ecosystem dedicated to employee financial wellbeing.
As part of this vision, PayDay is preparing to announce the upcoming launch of a partnership with a third bank. This next milestone will expand the platform’s reach and enable more companies and employees to benefit from its digital services.
This new stage demonstrates that the PayDay model is not only innovative—it is also operational, scalable and capable of creating tangible value for financial institutions, companies and employees.
For PayDay and BTE, the Go-Live marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on serving more Tunisian businesses, supporting more employees and contributing to the digital transformation of financial services in Tunisia.
